These are the dogs that have in some way contributed to our kennel. Some were bred by us and some we may have adopted, but all were (very important). Many have passed away. A few are living on someone else's couch. They all represent what we feel a Bernese Mtn Dog should be. Take a minute to visit these wonderful dogs that have been dear to our hearts these past 30 plus years.
THE BOYS
CH October Blue Mt's Made To Win "Winston"
Winston was the highlight of this kennel. He made us what we are today. I thank Sharon Smith to this day for letting me have this special guy. Although he is gone now, he lives on in his grand and great grandchildren. He was #3 and #4 Bernese Mountain Dog in 1995 and won an Award of Merit at our National Specialty in 1996. He is also a Top Producer and won the stud dog class at the National in 1998 and the Veteran Sweepstakes class in 2000.
Winston was a true Matador of the breed.
Blue Mt's Special Edition "Sam"
Sam was the most beautiful Bernese I have ever seen. Truly a magnificent Berner with everything a strong Bernese male should have. I was honored to have bred and owned him. He will forever be my heart dog and I will continue to miss him.
Multiple Best in Show, BOB at Westminster Dog Show CH Blue Mt's Black Diamond v Tmbrdge. "Kohl".
Kohl was a typey large boy. He was out of a breeding that I knew would produce beautiful puppies. He did a lot of winning just on the fact he looked like what a "Bernese Mountain Dog" should look like. I was proud to be his Breeder.
These are only a few of the boys that we have had at Blue Mtn. They all have a special place in my heart, that I will always cherish.
BIS GC CH Tulipanos Berni Feliz "Felix"
Felix was imported from Hungary. Just an amazing beautiful boy. Fred Thomas was his handler and best friend. Together they were able to win a Best in Show. He was really a dream dog. I am thankful to have had him and to Kira Martin for breeding such a wonderful Bernese.
